Microsoft promite lansarea noii versiuni a sistemului de operare server Windows Server 2008 pe data de 27 februarie (bine ca nu pe 29 :D ). Pe langa data lansarii, au fost publicate si preturile diferitelor versiuni:

  • Windows Server 2008 Standard: 999 $ (5 CAL /Client Access License)
  • Windows Server 2008 Enterprise: 3999 $ (25 CAL)
  • Windows Server 2008 Datacenter: 2999 $ (pe procesor)
  • Windows Server 2008 pentru sisteme pe baza de Itanium: 2999 $ (pe procesor)
  • Windows Web Server 2008: 469 $
  • Windows Server 2008 Standard fara Hyper-V: 971 $ (5 CAL)
  • Windows Server 2008 Enterprise fara Hyper-V: 3971 $ (25 CAL)
  • Windows Server 2008 Datacenter fara Hyper-V: 2971 $ (pe procesor)

Windows Server 2008

Fiecare versiune va fi disponibila in varianta de 32 (x86) si 64 (x64) biti, exceptie facand versiunea pentru procesoare Itanium si editiile dotate cu Hyper-V (tehnologia Microsoft de virtualizare) care vor fi disponibile doar in varianta x64. Hyper-V va fi disponibil si separat, la pretul de 28 USD.
